Bizee's Free Months End on One Date. Tennessee's Report Is Due on Another.

Who is talking, and why: TN Registered Agent.org sells Tennessee registered agent service at $99 a year, so treat what follows as a pitch built on Bizee's own published numbers rather than a neutral review. Those numbers were taken from Bizee's site in July 2026.

Why the Bundle Is Worth Saying Yes To

If you are forming a Tennessee LLC through Bizee, the included agent coverage is a genuine part of what you are paying for. Depending on which package you choose, it runs anywhere from three months to a full year at no separate charge, and during that stretch the service works exactly as advertised. Bizee also does formation itself competently and at a fair price, which is why the company has been around long enough to have already changed its name once.

Nobody should turn down free months. The trouble with free months is that they end, and they end quietly.

And Then the Standalone Rate Arrives

Bought on its own, without a formation order attached, Bizee's registered agent service lists at $149 annually. That is what the bundle turns into once the complimentary window shuts, which makes $149 the figure to carry into any comparison that looks past the first twelve months.

At $99 flat, we are $50 a year under that. Over the life of a company that keeps its registration current, the gap compounds into real money without ever announcing itself.

Since the word cheap is hovering nearby, one correction to it. A smaller sticker exists in this market and it belongs to BetterLegal at $90, so $99 is properly described as one of the lower flat Tennessee rates rather than the lowest of them.

Two Clocks, and Neither One Sets the Other

This is the part specific to Tennessee, and it is worth a minute.

Your free Bizee months are measured from your formation order. Buy the package in June and the twelve-month version expires the following June. It is a purchase clock, and it belongs entirely to the vendor.

Tennessee's clock is different in kind. Its deadline hangs off your accounting year. Close the books in December, as most companies do, and the report is due April 1, with the window opening in January. Shift to a June or September year end and the report date shifts along with it. The day you filed your Articles of Organization has nothing to do with any of this.

So you have two recurring obligations running on two unrelated schedules, and only one of them mails you a warning if it slips. The state's warning goes to the registered agent address, which is the address in question. A June bundle expiry and an April report date will never remind each other of anything.

The Member Count Nobody Warns You About

While you are budgeting: that $300 is a floor, not a flat fee. Tennessee charges $50 for each member and the $300 minimum simply covers the first six of them. A company that brings on four more partners next spring will find its report costs $500. The cap is $3,000, which arrives at sixty members and matters to almost nobody, but the climb between six and sixty is real and it catches growing firms.

Against a state fee that moves with your headcount, an agent fee that moves for no reason at all is the easiest thing on the list to fix.

One Form Ends the Bizee Arrangement

One filing does it. Form SS-4534 changes the agent named on your Tennessee record, costs $20, and goes to the state's business filings division. Appoint your incoming agent before that form goes out, so the handover overlaps instead of leaving a day when your record names nobody who is actually working for you.
